Afield mentored three architecture students and curated an installation at the Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario (GNO) featuring the work of the mentees. Titled “Partage/Partake,” the installation is used to explore the relationship between space and difference as well as reconfigure “generosity” and “participation.”
An article on the project published by Afield co-director Kai Wood Mah on the GNO website can be found here in French and here in English. In addition, a video featuring the three students can be found here. The three students are Andrei Aranyi, Jonathan Kabumbe, and Jennie Philipow.
The installation will be on view from 8 February until 14 March at the GNO’s temporary space in Sudbury, Ontario.
